Request your data

Exercise your rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. There is no charge, and we respond within 30 days.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct personal data that is wrong or incomplete;
  • erase your personal data;
  • provide your data in a portable, machine-readable format;
  • stop or restrict a particular use of your data;
  • withdraw consent you previously gave.

If you simply want to close an app account, the faster route is the deletion page for that product — for example deleting a Ntanimo account.

How we confirm it is you

Before we release or change any personal data, we confirm that the request comes from the person it concerns. We do this by contacting the email address registered to the account. We will only ask for identity documents where we genuinely cannot verify you any other way.

How long it takes

We respond within 30 days. If a request is unusually complex we may need longer, in which case we will tell you why within those 30 days.
